B. Describe your setting

[insert here- minimum of 2 paragraphs]
The setting that I am observing is in Ethel Taylor Academy. It is an urban public school for grades K-6. The school is located in Millville Ohio which is right next to Cincinnati. The city is one of the lowest poverty cities in Ohio. Many of the parents of the students do not have jobs. Free and reduced lunches are provided for each student who attend Taylor Academy. The majority of the students here are African American. There are about 350 students who attend this school. The students here are required to wear a uniform which includes no jeans, navy blue shirts, khaki or white pants and white tennis shoes. I am observing this school through two of my education classes. Introduction to Education and Individuals with Exceptionalites. Each of us are paired with a student who needs special "tutoring" in certain areas.

We travel to Ethel Taylor every Tuesday and Thursday. We sit with the students in each of their classes and attend their specials with them. Sometimes their teachers pull the students with "tutors" and we work with them in a different room. The students at Ethel Taylor are not the best behaved students. A lot of them do not listen to the teachers, but it seems like many kids are like this.
